PIEMONTE DAL VIVO
A journey through the region and its festivals
Piemonte dal Vivo is a Regione Piemonte project that networks 100 festivals in a top-quality line-up, taking us on a trip through the arts and venues covering the entire region. Fortresses, castles, old towns and villages, squares and courtyards become, with their history and their beauty, unusual and highly charming stage-settings for a series of events by which the performance becomes both the pivot and the pretext for enlarging our knowledge of the places in which they take place, giving rise to situations of intense fascination.
Since 1996, Piemonte dal Vivo has gambled on this vast network of entertainment, searching for an increasingly close contact with the region, while, at the same time, opening up to new collaborations and new projects: if the participation in international events - such as the Festival Transnational des Artistes de la rue, the Festival Mondial de Théâtres des Marionnettes, the Festival d'Avignon-Off and L'été des Hivernales - nowadays seems to be a foregone conclusion, the main news is related to the launch of a shared project with the regions of Liguria, Valle d'Aosta, Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, as part of the project Euro Regione Alpi-Mediterraneo. A further step forwards, which reaffirms the pioneering core of a constantly-developing project, which was awarded - the crowning achievement of fourteen years of activity - the Premio Speciale Festival of Festivals (Special Award Festival of Festivals).
